Moving In
- Leases: All prospective new tenants will be given the opportunity to sign & return leases complete with their damage deposit. Once this is done we will offer those people their choice of available units, on a first returned, first served basis. No units will be held without the receipt of the damage deposit.
- Keys: Your keys will be given to you on or after May 1st. once we receive ALL your post dated cheques from each person in your unit. If one persons cheques are missing no keys will be issued for the unit, so be sure everyone in your group forwards their cheques.
- Power Service: The tenant must arrange with N.B. Power for an account in their name. Contact N.B. Power @ 1-800-663-6272 tell them you are moving into 7 King street and give them your unit letter, they will set up an account for you. This must be done prior to moving in, power must be on to the unit even during the summer if no one is in the unit. Do not wait until the last minute to set up your account.
- Mail Service: Your mail delivery is at the mail boxes just up the street in front of Kingswood Manor. To obtain the keys for your box go the post office in town, show them a copy of your lease or your deposit receipt and they will give you a box number and key. You must return the key to them when you leave.
- Phone Service: Contact Aliant @ 1-800-561-6283 to arrange for your phone service, your unit is wired so that you can have up to six separate lines coming in, or you may choose just to go with one common line.
- Cable Service: If you want cable T.V. it is provided by EastLink, again the unit is wired so that each room as well as the living room has a cable jack. Contact Eastlink for rates and to arrange for service at 1-888-345-1111.
- Internet: High speed internet is provided by EastLink and the service cost is not included with your lease. To arrange for your hook up the tenant should call EastLink @ 1-888-345-1111 provide them with your address and unit, they will also what to know what type of computer and operating system you use, you will also have to be home the day they hook up your service.
- Unit condition: The unit condition report should be checked the day you move in, note any existing damage or unclean surfaces and advise us so that it can be corrected. When you move out at lease end the unit must be in this exact condition, any area that is different must either be corrected by the tenant or it will be deducted from the damage deposit.
- Cleaning Service: Once a week your unit will be cleaned by our staff, all the common areas will be done. It is much easier to clean if the unit is uncluttered, so your help in keeping the unit as clutter free as possible is appreciated, piles of shoes at the doors, dishes on the counter tops, soap bottles in the showers are a few of the little things that are to be avoided.
